It's a Small World After all....

Today we went to Disney World in Orlando. It was in the 80s and miserably warm, a little bit humid. That combined with the massive numbers of children running wild jacked up on cotton candy and sugary drinks, it was tough to remain calm and collected. The morning started out well. We got through the major rides within the first couple hours: Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean (it wasn't nearly as good or as long as the one at Disneyland), Big Thunder Railroad (the kid behind us bawled his eyes out. He HATED it. I felt bad for him), Jungle Cruise, it's a small world and Haunted Mansion. We Fast Passed Peter Pan (Disneyland doesn't have a Fast Pass for this one! It was great!) and Pooh's Adventure (or something like that...it was the same format as Peter Pan) and went on a few other rides in between. I didn't like "Magic Kingdom" nearly as much as I like Disneyland in Anaheim. For starters, they have four different parks and a lot of the rides that are at Disneyland are at parks other than Magic Kingdom...like Indiana Jones, Star Tours, and some others that don't come to mind right away. A couple of the cool rides from California Adventure were there also, but at different parks too.

Neither of us drank enough water and I'm sitting with a headache and a mild sunburn on my feet (Colleen, I put sunscreen everywhere else! I didn't even think of my feet). We ordered pizza (again, from the same place as last night) and we're hanging out, watching American Idol and drinking water (we have about a third of the gallon jug left, which we opened when we got back).

At the front of the park

Jim at the end of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (I was so excited they still have it!)
In front of the Haunted Mansion, yes the house is different.

Tomorrow we're heading north along the coast. We're staying the night in South Carolina, and the next night in North Carolina.
